Church activities
As a church, we build relationships with one another by spending time together, serving together, and studying God's word together. Here are some of the activities we do on a regular basis as a church family. We hope that you will join us for some or all of these activities!
Sundays
We think our Sunday times together are important, because they give us time to fellowship and worship God together. Sundays are the highlight of our week!
10:30 AM - Music & teaching. Our talented music team leads us in singing new and classic songs that help prepare us to learn and praise the Lord. Music is followed by a time of teaching, which is informal, informational, and scripturally-rooted. Come prepared to take notes, and bring your questions, too. On the first Sunday of the month, we also use this time to break bread and remember the Lord's sacrifice of the Last Supper, too.
Children's classes. While adults study the word on Sunday nights, children 12 and under enjoy age-appropriate Bible lessons with their peers. Taught by creative and talented teachers, children are gently encouraged to learn Bible stories and memorize Bible verses. Infant care also provided during Sunday services as needed.
After the morning service - Meals together. During the school year, we enjoy a meal together as a community. Meals usually have a theme, and each family/household is assigned a dish to bring. We find that sharing a meal together is a great way to build friendships and relate. The preparation & clean-up also gives us a chance to serve each other, too.
Home Church GroupsWe meet as small groups for deeper fellowship, worship, and study in members' homes. We currently have two groups: a Wednesday night group, and a Friday night group. Both groups study similar lessons, and come together to encourage one another mid-week, outside of our Sunday night church service. For more information or to become involved, please contact one of our pastors.
Life Transformation Groups
In small groups of 2-3, we find we have deep conversations about real-life challenges, and can encourage one another to grow by exploring these deep issues together. Many members meet together in these small "life transformation groups," committing to pray for one another and guide each other through difficult questions. If you're intersted in participating in one of these small groups, please talk with an Expedition pastor who can connect you with an existing group, or help you form a new one.
